Blue Heron Bridge Diving

Florida’s Macro Capital of the Caribbean

Blue Heron Bridge, located at Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach, Florida, is one of the most famous shore dives in the country. Known for its shallow depth, easy access, and incredible marine life, this dive site delivers something special on every visit.

What Makes It Special?

This is not a deep, high-adrenaline dive. Blue Heron Bridge is a slow, intentional underwater safari. In just 6–20 feet of water, divers can explore ledges, seagrass, sand patches, and artificial reef structures filled with marine life.

  • Octopus hiding in small ledges
  • Seahorses and pipefish in the grass
  • Frogfish camouflaged against the bottom
  • Batfish and flying gurnards cruising the sand
  • Juvenile tropical fish rarely seen elsewhere

Every dive feels like a treasure hunt. No two dives are ever the same.

Perfect for All Experience Levels

Because of its shallow depth and generally calm conditions, Blue Heron Bridge is ideal for:

  • New divers building confidence
  • Refresher dives to shake off the rust
  • Underwater photographers
  • Relaxed group dives

It’s not about going deep. It’s about slowing down and noticing the details.

The Night Dive Experience

At night, Blue Heron Bridge transforms into an entirely different world. Octopus come out to hunt, crabs roam the sand, and eels peek from their hiding spots. Many divers say the night dive here rivals or exceeds most boat dives because of the incredible activity in such shallow water.

Why Divers Keep Coming Back

  • Easy shore entry
  • Shallow, manageable depth
  • Exceptional marine biodiversity
  • Great site for building skills and confidence

If you’re looking for a dive that combines accessibility, biodiversity, and pure underwater exploration, Blue Heron Bridge belongs on your dive log.
